Aims of Network

1. Build a Network

To build a London Chinese Community Network and then establish strong, effective communication links with the regional network and the Black and Ethnic Minorities, so that their views are represented at regional and national levels.

2. Needs Audit

To identify and prioritise the funding needs of Network and member organisations, a questionnaire and interview research will be carried out in order to map current provisions and an needs audit among the member organisations. A final needs audit report will be drawn up and be open for public viewing. It will also make contact with grant making bodies and organize funding application workshops for member organisations to formulate and submit their bids to grant making bodies.

3. Advocacy

To advocate effectively with mainstream institutions, service providers, funders and policy makers on behalf of Network members and member communities.

4. Capacity building

To increase the effectiveness of individual organisations within the Network by the provision of information, advice, representation, development and advocacy service.
