Tasks of Network
What will the network do?
The Network has four targets and their outcomes will
be measured over the next two years.
Target 1: to unlock funds for local Network
- The funding needs of the London's Chinese Community
Organisations (CCOs) will be explored by a questionnaire
survey.
- Over the next two years, the Network will run three
tailor made funding application workshops for its
members'.
- Specific funding information will be provided to
members through a monthly Funding Bulletins as well
as direct advice and support.
Target 2: to advocate with mainstream institutions,
service providers, funders and policy makers on behalf
of members & its communities
- A Needs Audit Survey will be carried out to explore
the needs of the members and the communities that
they serve.
- A Needs Audit Report will be produced and delegates
from the relevant local authorities, service providers
and policy makers will be invited to attend its launch.
- A communication system will be set up to consult
Network members regularly.
- Four consultation meetings will be held by the Network.
- Quarterly Newsletters and Annual Reports will be
published to inform the CCOs of important community
issues.
Target 3: to increase effectiveness of Network
members
- In order to achieve this, information, advice,
representation, development and advocacy services
will be provided. A Capacity Building Officer will
look at the development needs of over 20 CCOs and
give them advice on how to increase the effectiveness
the CCOs.
Target 4: to facilitate effective representation
at consultation meetings
- An effective system of representation will be set
up.
- The Network will make sure that at least one Chinese
delegate representing the Chinese community at regional
network and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) network
consultation meetings.
